Merlin2 utilizes spiral gears to work harder, operate more quietly and produce less vibration than the previous model. Safety improvements include a one-piece cast aluminum safety guard that is both safer and more durable, a switch guard to reduce accidental starting, and more resilient materials less susceptible to damage. The exterior includes a textured neck for better grip and an ergonomic design for comfort with less hand, arm and wrist fatigue during use. The interior includes a new motor that powers effortlessly between 0 - 13,000RPM's with improved efficiency and can be powered by an automobile’s AC/DC power converter. A new high-capacity fan and extra air vents on both the neck and bottom allow the new model to stay cooler and work longer. Merlin2’s new circuit board and electrical components are made from eco-friendly materials and are RoHS compliant. Pulling only one amp of power, the tool is also energy efficient.
